lyrics

I met a girl once, she didn't steal me
She wasn't anything, she wasn't anything
A pretty name yeah, a pretty face yeah,
But I wasn't floating, I wasn't floating
So several days go, she steals a look oh,
She steals another one, I'm stealing other ones.
We share some minutes, some thoughts and
finish another good talk, another good talk
I walk, I fall, I walk, I fall

I wrote a song once and then another one,
and then another one, and then another one
She wrapped her headphones, around her head and
she took a listen, she took a listen.
I think she likes it, I know she loves it.
Because she told me, that's what she told me,
but there's a something, a little something
that she doesn't know, She doesn't know, no no no.

It's you and I in every dream at night
and It's me and you in every daze I dream in the daytime. It's blades of knives slicing up the strings
I use to hold my favorite lie. Yeah the ones I tell
myself... when I need you.

I let a word slip and then another one, and then another one, and then another one.
She took it lightly, but it was heavy,
Yeah more than heavy and it's been keeping me
A little more than a little frightened,
a little numb know, a little dumb now. I thought
I loved you, I swear I loved you, was it just your smile? Was it just your smile and your laugh that could bring me back from the dead and your eyes that could fade my ailments and your body, oh your body, oh your body that could save me from anything.
My fingers are about to bleed.
My throat is getting raw and hurting.
And I'm just another boy with a crush
who didn't have the strength to tell you that...

It's you and I in every dream at night
and It's me and you in every daze I dream in the daytime. It's blades of knives slicing up the strings
I use to hold my favorite lie. Yeah the ones I tell
myself.

And there I go again and it's no wonder why I'm stuck on you. If all you ever did was watch our moving sillouettes, you'd swear I was just a freshmen. You'd swear I was just a freshman trying to marry the prom queen or recreate some scene from a movie. I've written down so many words, on angles forming lines on paper.
But the vocal chords deep in my neck, they lack every bit of strength to sing you this

And it's not alright that I kept this all inside and I lie alone and waiting instead of taking your hand and leading you just to where I needed you right next to me.

And I think you should go
And play this song again
'cause it kind of says
everything
I...
